Life Centre turns 5!!!! Had an awesome party at the clinic today where most of the people working in the clinic were invited. Spent almost 12hrs decorating for the party with Gigi and I'm glad everyone was fascinated by it.
We turned a consultation room to a Jazz Room where we have buffet, cakes, 'wines' (ok, it's sparkling juice), fruits. Glad that the celebration turns out successful. Everyone enjoyed themselves. All the hard work, worth it!!! :)
Lately there's a few trips available for me for Travel photography that falls after my wedding. I'm so tempted to go- for the fact that I can get more oversea's photographs to submit for competition. But the trips are mainly in Asia. Thinking that trips will be at least a week, I was trying to include Hubby into the trip. Then Hubby ask me, 'So is that for our honeymoon?'
I pondered,'Honeymoon in Asia? No way!!'
In the end, travel trips with my photography kakis seemed impossible yet again. So I've decided to have my travel photography plans pushed to next year. While this year end shall be my honey moon. Dates not settled yet, but I've already have many many places in mind. Venice, France, Seychelles, Norway, Tunasia... So many.. But the place I must go has gotta be Venice..!!!!!
Time to start planning and lookout for tickets. :)
Glad that one of my photo won 'ViewBug Judges' Favorite Photo in March'.
Stepping into the forth week of working in Life Centre. Forth week of working in clinic. And within 3 weeks, I easily gained 2kg of body weight. A target that became so easy as compared to when I was working in the wards. Have always wanted to gain a little weight because many people complains that I look real unhealthy when my face becomes so small.
Having gained a couple of kilos isn't all for my target. After assisting Dr Shanker during the consultation, I've learnt a lot from him. How to keep a healthy lifestyle. How to control over eating and how to maintain fit. Then, I started being more cautious about calories intake and finding out what are some wrong conception many people have. Examples like how many people think that Cornflakes are very nutritious and healthy, and how diet coke contains lesser sugar therefore healthier for them.
Some food company did research on additives to make people wanna eat more of that same food. And that's one way of making loads of money just by producing a product. Indeed all these are juicy information for people like me. Additional infos to be more cautious on food.
Talking about Dr Shanker. Back when I was working at inpatient, I always come across his name soooo times but i have never met him in person before. Now im glad to know that he is the Director of Life Centre. Because he is really one of a kind. I really admire his character and how generous he is. The only one surgeon that I've ever seen, who discourages his patient to go for operation. He says "Medication can cure, why operate?"
So two weeks back, he brought in a brand new Dolce Gusto into the clinic kitchen and told all of us, "Please help yourselves with the coffee." Where on earth can you find such a Director who enjoys good stuff with the staffs. The most shocking thing was when he knew many of us are not coffee takers, he bought non caffeinated flavors over the weekend and shared it with us...! In a short 3 weeks, there's always party every week. Every meeting, there's Makan session. How not to gain weight? haha.. So I started having my first hot Chococino today..
It's been quite a while that I had this feeling all over again... Feeling of struggles. Life's struggles.
A lot of reflections and there I am, lost once again. I have a direction. But my small guts is stopping me from moving forward. My fear is holding me back from the act. And it's a lot of fear in many aspects.
Maybe my wings have weaken. That strong wings I once had, decided to fail on me. I'm like a lost, lonely sparrow. With it wings, yet hard to fly. I need some space to regain what's missing. Till then...
Changing from working inpatient to outpatient not only change my role as a nurse, but I encounter management issues. I have not been able to manage my time well and often, it slowed down my photography. Weekends will as usual be filled up with photo shooting, but always coming to weekdays, I have no chance to process those photos. It really took me quite a whole to get those overdue photos processed and I ended up posting events that happened sometimes 2 weeks ago.
It's a little struggle to balance up time for my passion and work. Hoping that in time to come, things will get smoother. Time to figure out with a solution.
Recently I've just bought a new lens. This time round, a second hand one. Master Peter poisoned me with a very old Nikon Macro lens. He brought it for me to try during a few session of macro-ing with him. Wah.. My macro kakis were so shock how great the quality of the image turns out to be. Even Master P was praising how good my skills has become after using that lens. Good enough to produce masters quality images.
I've decided buying this lens because it's a discontinued lens in Nikon. It's an old model and many photographers have stop using this very powerful lens. Gotten my nikon macro lens now at a very cheap price. Happy max. Now I can decide selling the previous lens that I used- 90mm Tamron f2.8. :)
Welcome my 'New' lens into the company.
