The little light that was seen at the corner of where situation sits. The light to push me to my first step. My first step from darkness to see hope. Hope of success. It's probably the happiest moment of my life. I literally roll over the bed screaming 'Yeah..! Yeah...!' upon receiving the email that, till now, has yet to get back to me whether I'm in for it.

It's more than just courage. It's more than the word 'happy' to describe how it feels like. I'm glad people out there are enjoying what I shoot. I can't wait for more good news to be announced. During the period of learning, I've learnt a lot. 'Nothing is wasting of your time, because every process is a learning process!' For this, I've reflected what I have in life, what I've lost in life, and what I've gain as well. Learning is an endless process. As you learn, you grow! :)

PS: thanks mummy for giving your daughter the full support in doing what I wanted. thanks to boy, his family for supporting me so hard. Best of all, the ones who have not give up on me as a friend, as a student, showing their patience to me sharing knowledge with me. I'm so appreciated. Thanks for the effort.

It's my second last day of this year's annual leave. It was the hardest annual leave I've ever been through. Have been real busy with all sorts of things. With photoshoot, with wedding, bringing grans to hospital appointment, and time I rot my whole day out.

It's been the 2nd weekend shooting without Liew guidance, as he was away for oversea Photoshoot, and I'm glad I was still able to survive in getting good shots. That shows I was not reliant and was able to apply what I've learnt.

Preparation was like crazy. Liaising with bridal Pre-wedding photoshoot and I've yet to confirm which one to take. Venue wise, boy and I last min change our concept and there research have to be re-do all again. A sudden need for tradition stuff caused some stress between Boy and I. All I hope for is not to have disputes among the two families who's gg to becomes in-laws soon. Things that are easier to be done, like our wedding ring, have been settled. Managed to find good and unique wedding cards and I've yet to send my request out. Too many things to do, really.

Gran had a fall last thurs and was brought to SGH for observation. Glad that she does not need to be admitted but having to leave her fractured shoulder for the next 6 weeks to heal. Hope the broken bone will heal back somehow and hoping no surgical intervention needed.

Start of the leave, I've finally replenished the sleep that I've yearned to have, but towards the end of my leave, I've work really hard on my photography that I've hoping for more time to rest again. Glad things for my photography is doing very well. I'm loving every events that was created by PK-ians and I'm grabbing every opportunity to join them to shoot. Be it indoor sports, outdoor sports or jungle trekking, when I'm free, I'll join in to gain exposure.

Otherwise, till then...

And this year, we have decided to do it in Singapore. No plans for any trip to celebrate. And it was a whole day packed of activities we often do.

This year is our first year and our last year celebrating as fiancé and fiancée. No more boyfriend girlfriend. But I'm still so used to saying 'my boyfriend'. haha.. Anyway photos will be up soon. Not much photos taken this year, cause I rather enjoy the time we have together.

Brought him to Jones the Grocery, and both of us love the place. The best place for brunch. Wanted to go Riders but it's closed on a Monday. Awesome food, awesome atmosphere. We had our body massage and detox right after brunch. And luckily we din threw out. It was quite a lousy massage I should say. Singapore massage lost to Thailand and Batam.

After a few journey down to Goldheart to get our engagement ring fitted, we finally purchased our ring on our 5th Anniversary. And my ring still has 0.09 carat of diamond. ^,^

Anniversary dinner at Carousel. Yes, we finally had the chance to dine in there. Remembered the days when I'm still working Shaw (that's 4years back), Royal Park Hotel was one of our hangout. And we always dream to dine in there. And finally this year, we get to try the sumptuous seafood dinner. A wide variety to choose from. Awesome-ness. Love the fresh oyster, the non stop lobster, the endless fondues and the choice of cheese that I just can't stop going for 2nd round, 3rd round.

To end the day with movie: Cold War. The typical HK drama that we love catching. We are so gonna wait for Part II to be out.

This Anniversary was pretty simple, most importantly to spend the memorable day with one another, to the fullest.

As planned, I've finally gotten what I've been wanting so badly ever since I got my DSLR. Yes, it's that long that I've wanted a speed light so badly. Have been trying to achieve a flash but the priority of getting a flash is always push back. Because people will always advise, 'Shoot with natural lighting.'

This is gonna be my last camera gear of the year. Simply invested too much on camera gears and it's time to utilize what I have. But of course, I'm hoping to upgrade my D5000 to D800 or D600. Well, a full-frame body is always better than basic body. And that's the way I fully make use of the lens I have.

You know sometimes you will just reach to a point where everything is not right... I probably hide out too much feelings in me, that was unable to voiced out, causing the problem I'm facing now.

Feeling lost and I know I need to talk to someone. But who should I talk to? And who understands? I guess I also don't know what to say. Something has been bothering me but I myself couldn't figure out what that is. That's how vexed I am.

Probably I wasn't given a chance to speak up my heart and resulting situation like this. Nevermind, I should just work my ass out for the 8- straight working days, and then enjoy my leave once again. Whatever it is... I hope I'll find a life soon.

Sigh.

Attended my first lesson of 'Basic Photoshop' at Canon Imaging Academy yesterday with my idol, Joseph. And it was a lot of things to learn about editing photos. I really admire how he treasures his photographs when it comes to editing. I've learnt how great it was to shoot in RAW rather than in JPEG. And ever since my shooting session with Liew, I've changed to shoot in RAW. And it really comes out more friendly in Photoshop.

Today will be lesson 2, time to get hands on. Though I've tried using photoshop recently, the editing I do was not as thorough as it should be. Now that I've installed more useful tips, I'm gonna be able to produce more outstanding photos. It's always good to have people to teach rather than self learning. That works for me. I'm nuts at figuring things on my own.

Well, seems like I need to change my windows to Mac. And I probably need to do more investments now...

One more thing, I am officially a member of PK, and I'm so honored about it. Thanks to Liew, who brought me in to this committee, meeting all amateurs and professionals. Welcome to the Photography industry, I should say. Looking at where I was 3 months back, I found myself flew up to grabbing my dreams real fast. All thanks to Master Liew, my benefactor, my friend. Thanks for realizing me and keeping me as your student. Giving me so many opportunity to grow and learn in photography. There's definitely no regrets and I'm proud to be where I am now. No more looking back. And the positive mind is going to bring me even further. To where dreams are hidden, I'm gonna come to grab you.

I love what I'm doing, my hobby, my second life...

So last Saturday I went to F1 pit building to catch 'Singapore Karting Championship' with the company of Liew by MOPSG. My first outdoor sports shooting and the experience was freaking awesome. It's a whole day event and besides getting myself tanned up, I brought back loads of photos. Apparently the cap, shades and sunblock were helpful to keep my face still as fair. But my right arm, gone case. Luckily I'm not yet burnt.

After the event, of course, there will be competition held from MOPSG, and I took part in it. Just submitted 5 photos that speaks the whole day event...












I'm pretty anxious to join this competition actually. Partly because Liew is one of the judges and it took me quite long to choose 5 out of my 500 photos to edit them. Finally chosen this lucky 5 photos and hopefully I'll win something. Excited max... Results will be out on 8th Nov.

PS: for the first time in my life, I took photo till my arm and fingers turn numbbbbb...
