30 September 2012

There's simply too many things that I need to do but where's my discipline? Have been wasting too much time and I'm really losing back. It's time to get back to route.. No time to waste anymore...

• KTM resort•
28 September 2012

Right now at Batam- KTM resort reception blogging where there's free wifi to use. A 2D1N trip to relax ourselves before heading back to work on Tuesday for us. When it comes to leave, it's a must to go for things like massage to relax our body. The Thai massage earlier on was really a bonus for all of us. Those stiffen joints accumulated over the months, are all flexible now. It's really enjoyment.

A dip into the pool this afternoon was awesome. With the perfect weather this afternoon in Batam, drinking coconut by the pool. All it takes to enjoy life to the fullest during our leave.

Last but not least, I've gotten my A&W for dinner. Curly fries, root beer float.. wah.. Awesome max.. It's good that S'pore does not have A&W, so that I'll treasure it's presence everytime I travel.. :))

• Batam•

I'm on my way to Batam with my girls. To fully utilized our annual leave. This trip, my boy will not be joining me. A short trip though. Will be back tomorrow evening.

Time for shopping and massage..!! :)

It's been 5days, but I still missed the days back in Krabi. All of us really had a good time there. The moments we had in krabi...

• His baby•
26 September 2012

Welcome to the new baby to the family. It's gonna be extra hard work for this baby this time round. More maintainance needed.

Though we change from an old Altis to the new Altis, that makes him the Altis boy now. Haha.. Well, the old one has bring us lots of memories. Due to his dad retirement, there are plans to move the old Altis to his dad. And let's welcome the new Altis...

PS: It's time to do up the new Altis. Especially the color.

• Engaged•
25 September 2012

For all that I thought of for the trip, I've not thought that I'll get my engagement oversea. The best part was: I was surrounded by nature. Being a sagittarian, nature is a plus point.

We were canoeing through the sea on Day 2 of our trip. We were asked to canoe 6km that day. And half way through the distance, we had a break in the middle of the sea to enjoy the scenery. Gift, our tour guide started reaching his hands into the water and the next moment he has La-la in his hands. Being a seafood lover, I started joining Gift to dig for the shell for our lunch.

While I was digging the lala with the rest, boy suddenly hold my hands and ask me to close my eyes, I thought he was gonna throw me into the water. He always has such crazy idea in mind. But the next moment when he asked me to open my eyes, he knelt down and say 'Anna, Will you marry me?' It took me quite a while to answer him because I was so stanned at that point of time.

And so I went Krabi with a status of 'Single' and came back to Singapore with a change to become 'Engaged'. Life's not gonna be the same anymore. It's time to count down from being fiancé and fiancée to husband and wife. And it's time to get myself busy with the necessary plannings. Our wedding date will prolly be out by end of Nov and hopefully all plannings will go smooth.

I'm glad to hear all the blessings from family and friends. And I really appreciate the ones who helped Boy with the planning of the Proposal. With Er, Pk, sharon and eugene being our witnesses, we are now officially fiancé and fiancée. :))

PS: Photos will be up soon.

Before BT closes on 25/9/12, we are here to take a flight from here for the last time. After that, bidding goodbye to BT while Terminal 4 will be coming up..

It's the first time in our 5years gg to trip travelling by air. Like finally.. Excited max.. Gonna enjoy this trip.. Hoping the weather god will be at my side, keeping krabi shone for the next 4 days. :)

Byeeeeeeeeee S'poreeeeee.. :)
See me back in 4 days time..

• what a day•
21 September 2012

What a day at work before my annual arrives. My colleague's patient turn unconscious half way through his breakfast before we know that he was choke with his food. Knowing that I've a long list of things to do that morning, I still rushed to the bed to help out in the resuscitation. Seriously what's wrong with the ward? Maybe I'm the jinx, I don't know.

When we revived the patient, I went back to my station to found out that my patient just desaturated. It's been a very very tiring week and I seriously deserved this 9 days of being away from this battle field. The resources in the ward is draining so fast that we have to borrow so equipments from different ward. Like seriously.. it's really really crazily busy lately..

Ok, bid goodbye to my ward for 9 days and it's time to enjoy life to the fullest now. First thing first, pack my luggage. It's a four days trip but I already feels like bringing my whole house to krabi now.. haha.. An early flight tomorrow, I guess I need a good sleep tonight. A must.. Time for manicure... :)

• learning•
20 September 2012

Had my second outing with Justin Ng for the MOPSG photo critique session today. Simply enjoy the sharing session where everyone learns and enjoy good work done by enthusiast photographers. The competition just makes the whole team works. Last but not least, I finally hear the critiques on my photo submitted during the previous session. Those useful tips were taken in and I really like sessions like this. Makes me learn faster in photography.

It was a real tiring week this week. Everyday at work I have to work overtime without going for that 1hr break time. Patient acuity lately was freaking bad. It's just one last day to pull through tomorrow, and I'll be off to enjoy my 9 days of deserved- annual leaves. :)

On top of that, it hasn't been a very good week knowing that his gran ended up in ICU with critical condition that may even affect the tour this time round. Well, both of us are looking things very positively, believing things will be fine. As far as I know, her condition right now aren't fluctuating very much. And I believe she will definitely pull through this...

• New partner•
16 September 2012

I suppose it was the right time to get my boyfriend a new girlfriend now. After bringing him out to the jungle to get nearer to insects and flowers, and given me a certain kind of knowledge, I've decided to let him have a good view of landscapes and portrait.

The love for macro will never die because I just love catching details of the tiny livings. Well, I believe in being good in everything but still pro in one. It's time for me to move on to landscapes and portrait where my wide angle lens come into use.

I simply love how my 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G looks. The lens that comes up to 77mm circumference that's really huge. I shall be a good owner and first stop, bringing my wide angle to my upcoming Krabi trip. Oh.. seriously, I'm getting more and more excited!!!

• Steamboat•

This ghost festival has finally come to an end. It's been quite a tough month for all of us and we are still fighting to pull through the year. I'm glad somehow there are some peace in the group now. And everyone is happy now. That's the main point. Things get settled and we each has a view in our mind that all of us accepted to.

A dinner that was organized with many purpose to it. One of it was to get to gather to discuss our Krabi trip on the coming weekend....

PS: photo album up in Facebook as usual.

PPS: counting down to 6 days to our first flight together. Exxxciteeeed..

• Time to get started•
13 September 2012

I've been wasting a lot of my precious time not doing what needs to be done, and today I made my first step. I believe I have not crack enough of thinking to fully utilize my time. And at least after making my first virgin step, I know I'm one step closer to achieving my dreams. In fact, I don't know how far I have to take to achieve it, but I'm going to do it.

I've learnt from Kim Kiyosaki in the 'Aspire Phase' that "Your dreams have to be your dreams. Not the dreams of the parents, not the spouse, neither the friends." And my purpose to my doing now, is the purpose for my financial journey, and it is what I really want deep down in my heart and soul. I was hoping that the 'push' effect works on me.

Right now, there are a lot of things to get started. There are lots of competitive out there but I believe it's time to make a difference. Meanwhile, the support from friends, partner and family are very crucial to me. And I am definitely moving all in...

PS: being financially free is not about how much one earned or how many branded stuff one carry... :)

• heart-talk•
11 September 2012

This was the most painful heart-talk both of us ever had.. The impact was harsh but I didn't thought it will be settled so fast.

Every heart-talk makes us stronger, and we both know that our heart-talks will solve all the issues. I'll want to heart-talk till we get old, so that by the time our hair are grey, we will have the strongest relationship in the world.

It makes us feel better now. Once again, promises made, pinky signed.

• Happy Saturday•
08 September 2012

My day started off with a tired morning shift when I need to discharge all my patient leaving only 2 patient left for the afternoon shift. Ended my shift feeling super sleepy until boy said 'Come, let's go shopping today!' Suddenly my spirit turns active once again.

Wanna congrats my boy for the hardwork he has put in his career so far. Within a year, he make his way up to being an Associate Director with two rookies below him. Today, he is promoted and I'm proud that he jumped 4 tier within a year. Salute him.. seriously.

With his success, it's time for us to celebrate again and cheers to hard work. He is the one who always brings up my spirit, the one, my one... :)

• photoshop•
07 September 2012

I really think that fate is often on my side. When I wanted some things badly, somehow it will show it up to me. Photoshop is one program all photographers must know and learn. It's a very very useful tools to adjust and edit your photos to perfection. And I'm considered a slow learner to want to pick this skill up after 2 years in photography.

Cck community centre do hold IT classes and I saw a few sessions on Adobe Photoshop CS5 and I was eager to sign up for it. The course isnt very cheap, but for my passion, I'm going to go all the way through. Was discussing with boy whether I should sign up or not, when I saw Canon web page having the course as well. It is slightly cheaper as compared to CC, and it's CS 6 (latest) that they are teaching. Best of all, Instructor Joseph will be the teacher.. :)

Maybe it's coincidence, I don't know. But I'm really happy that things are going my way as I wanted it to be. It gives me more determination to move on, and the passion for it is very active. I've sign up the schedule on early Nov and hoping things will be going well as planned. Cheers. :)

• photo critique•
06 September 2012

After joining a few themed photography competition organized by Justin Ng Photography, I believe the organization grew very very fast. I was invited to join the organization that was form to welcome all photograph enthusiast to join them. When there are events, seminars and outings, the members will be notified.

I've decided to join them when they launched in May this year, because I see glimpse of where I can learn more from others, be it professionals, be it instructors. I believe it will give me more opportunity to learn and enlarge my skills in photography.

Today was my first time joining their event as I often wasn't free on their scheduled outings. And I'm glad that the opportunity today gives me more knowledge. Today's event was a Critique Session held at China Square and they invited the winner finalist of 'The Big Shot'- Liew, to critique on the photos. Later did I know that Liew was in the committee with Justin Ng and somehow I was happy about that.

I submitted my photo that I wanted to be critiqued on but due to time constrain, my photo was not been critique. I have to go for the next session to hear on the critique. And I really hope I can go for it. The session was really meaningful. Though my forte was macro shots, I hear and learn on landscape and portrait shots too.

All and all, I'm really happy that Ministry of Photography is growing where I can get to see more enthusiast who loves to make photographs talk. And I'm so inspired by how people gets so successful in photography. Last but not least, I'm mixing with group of people using Nikon Cameras where I can better chat with, in the sense of lens, camera and settings.

This is the photo I submitted for critiquing. Hope I'll be able to make it for the next session...

05 September 2012

Indeed it's a month where I'll see the most number of death case while at work. It's not an easy month to work. It's been 3 days, back to back of resuscitation happening in my ward. Patient turns ill suddenly and next moment all of us are trying hard to revive the dying one.

I spent all energy first thing at work during resuscitating and for the rest of my shift, though it was peaceful, I was zonked out. Really sleepy and tired. Shall wait for the 'festive' to past and hoping more peace will come..

• pretty face•
03 September 2012

Yes, that's what I want to achieve. I want a flawless skin. And now that my chicken pox has recovered, I shall continue to take care of my face.

It's Monday, and while everyone is rushing to work, I'm happily having my beauty sleep till I feel like waking up. Booked for facial and it's time to pamper myself once again. Went with boy and I've booked more facial package to prepare for our wedding day. It's time to quit being lazy and start taking extra care to my face. :)

Love the cold mask treatment just now. Damn good. It closes my pores and I like it lots. And I'm glad people sees my face turning more radiant as compared to previous. Happy..

• upgrade•
01 September 2012

It is not too long since I upgrade my camera tools and a shop at comex last night, I brought home my next upgrade tools. I was looking for the pop-up flash diffuser that Instructor Joseph was talking about and I found it at comex last night. Something very important for my macro shoots.

Next I got myself a camera travel bag. Well, after buying crumpler four million dollar home series, which I realized was far too small to put in my DSLR plus a lens. Happened that Yanting gotten me a five million dollar home on my 22nd birthday and since then I've been using it. It was really good and I'm still loving the bag till now.

The amount of lens I have increases and sometimes I find it harder to travel with all weight presses on my shoulder and this time round, I decided to purchase a proper camera travel backpack. Been comparing lowerpro and vanguard. At last I gotten myself Vanguard Adaptor 45.

With a max of 3 lens, one DSLR, one flash's and a tripod's capacity, I say hello to my new bag. Now I can go Krabi with no worries abt how many lens I can bring. :)
